This announcement follows the STS Inks’ recent launch of its groundbreaking compact modular Direct-to-Film printing system and the company’s certification of its DTF line of inks for human-ecological safety according to ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX®.

“We were captivated by the excitement in the black light room at the European Printing Event, and we knew it was the right moment to jump into the fluorescent world,” said the author. Shahar TurgemanSTS Inks was founded by, in 1999. “We are the first ink producer to offer the market a simple, new way to make custom-made garments literally glow.

Fluorescence can be seen in black light or ultra-violet lighting. Both of these are used in concert and sports venues and other brightly lit places. The 8-channel DTF printing system by STS Inks is unique in that it allows for the installation of fluorescent yellow and fluorescent magenta. This makes STS Inks the only worldwide printer capable of installing both yellow and magenta inks. The STS Inks Flexi DTF Pro edition offers additional convenience by allowing users to choose and mix spot colors directly from Editor or Production manager. This eliminates the need for other software programs like CorelDRAW or photoshop.

DTF (direct-to garment) has many advantages over DTG (direct to garment). First, DTF does not require labor-intensive pretreatment. Second, DTF uses less ink. DTF requires 70% of the white ink required by DTG, while DTG requires 20%.

Mutoh, a leading manufacturer of wide format printers, helped to develop the STS Direct-to-Film modular system. The new system’s centerpiece is a compact printer measuring 24 inches. It can be mounted on a tabletop or rolling stand in any size printing shop. STS Inks DTF System was designed to simplify the process for creating custom tshirts and apparel. It is cost-effective and hassle-free.

“Mutoh America is delighted to see this advancement in fluorescent inks (STS direct-to film (DTF) garment printer system”),” stated Brian PhippsPresident of Mutoh America. “This increases the possibilities for garments of all types to a new level for our customers.”
