ARMOR Industrial Inks Lab Launches ARStyle, its New Range of Direct To Film Aqueous Inks for Textile Printing

ARMOR Industrial Inks, (A2i), announces that its new aqueous inks are now available for direct printing. They have unmatched white stability, washability, and other properties.

New DTF inks range
A2i is the semi-industrial ink of ARMOR Print Solutions. An ARMOR GROUP business, A2i announces its new aqueous range of inks dedicated for Direct To Film printing (DTF). This range of five colours is designed for the textile market, and in particular cotton applications. These aqueous coloured inks can be used with many EPSON printheads. Lastly, these inks are OEKOTEX certified. Standard 100 is a worldwide uniform system for testing, evaluating and limiting harmful substances. The OEKOTEX certification institutes use this standard to certify that textile products are safe. Standard 100 by OEKOTEX – tested for harmful substances – is a label that can be applied to products like ARStyle Inks.

Tom Strähnz, Managing Director A2i Germany, comments “Our range of inks goes beyond functionality; they also cater to the creative needs of companies in the fashion wear industry. With their vibrant colors and excellent color retention, our inks bring a sparkle to designs and make them more eye-catching. Our inks are perfect for printing on cotton or cotton-blend fabrics. They produce outstanding results and make your designs stand out.

Superior washability and stability
In addition to the four CMYK colours, A2i’s R&D team has focused on white, advancing the technological progress through the use of advanced water-based polymers.

Giovanni Manca is the Head of Ink Development. He says that “White is an essential color for textile applications.” As a backdrop on fabric, white plays an important role in enhancing the vibrancy of colors. ARStyle white is more stable and durable than most. The preparation time for reprinting is also shortened. Stability of the white ink allows for a quicker restart after production interruptions. “Whether there is a long or short break, our white ink will maintain consistency and minimize disruption to the workflow.”

A2i also conducted tests in-house adapted from ISO 6330 methodology for Textiles: Domestic Washing and Drying Methods. And the results show that colour loss after 10 washes at 40°C for a 150min cycle is minimal compared to five competitors.

Tom Strähnz, Managing Director A2i Germany, concludes: “The properties of our inks allow the colors to stay vibrant for much longer, which not only meets a quality and aesthetic challenge, but also has an impact on sustainability. Consumers will be able to keep their garments for a longer period of time, which is important in a world that is dominated by the production of garments.
