New York Increases Penalties for Unlicensed Cannabis Sales

As part of the budget for FY 2024, the New York Governor signed a bill on May 3, increasing civil and tax penalties against the illegal and unlicensed sale of cannabis. The law gives the Office of Cannabis Management and the Department of Taxation and Finance more enforcement powers to take action against unlicensed marijuana dispensaries.
