DTF meeting on IMI 5.0 held at G’bal – The Kashmir Horizon

Ganderbal: A District Task Force meeting (DTF) on Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 (IMI 5.0), was held under the Chairmanship of Mehraj-uddin Shah, Additional Deputy Commisssioner (ADC), Ganderbal.
In a presentation on powerpoint, the Deputy Medical Chief informed the Chair and Members of the importance of Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 which is a huge leap towards MR eradication and improving routine immunization.
She also informed about the immunization achievements by the department, and the impact COVID-19 has on immunization.
IMI-5.0 is scheduled to take place in three phases in the district from 7th – 12th August 23rd, 11th – 16th September 23, and 09th – 14th October 23rd.
The ADC instructed all stakeholders to adopt a mission-oriented approach and actively participate in the awareness raising of pregnant women and children and their mobilization throughout the three phases.
He also told them to make a WhatsApp Group of all the members and send all important messages, as well as relevant documents.
In terms of information and communication, the focus has been on electronic and printed media as well as public awareness generated through meetings and discussions.
He also directed that headcount surveys be conducted in all blocks, with a special focus on low-coverage immunization zones. This will help identify and track down any beneficiaries who have been left out.
The block medical officers have been directed to begin training all staff concerned and to share the training schedule, to prepare the IMI-5.0 micro plan and to make all arrangements necessary to make IMI 5.0 a success campaign.
At the meeting, Chief Education officer Ganderbal was present, as were District Programme officer Ganderbal. Also in attendance were Deputy Chief Educational Officer, Block medical officers Kangan, Lar, and Wakura; and CDPOs Kangan and Ganderbal.
